Our clients

Large enough, yet nimble enough.

An international mid-tier niche CRO, working with a diverse group of clients across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and nutraceutical companies. We manage clinical trials from study design through to the publication of results, across Phase I to Phase IV and multiple therapeutic areas.

Pharmaceutical

With science and clinical epidemiological expertise at its core, JSS Medical Research is a leader in Post-Approval Clinical Epidemiology Studies (PACES), including post-marketing observational studies, health outcomes research and health economics.

That means we are often brought in after approval, when the question has shifted from whether a product works to how it performs in the real world and what it is worth to a payer.

Biotechnology

Product development is expensive and slow, and capital is rarely abundant. Using an external CRO turns a fixed cost into a variable one, and gives a small team access to clinical operations, biostatistics and medical writing it could not justify hiring.

We work with biotechnology firms at whatever scale suits the round they are in, from a single protocol to a full development programme.

Medical devices

Device manufacturers face the same capital constraints as biotech, plus a regulatory pathway of their own and a payer who wants real-world evidence before reimbursing.

We design and run the studies that produce that evidence, and prepare the submissions that use it.

Nutraceutical

As the new Health Canada regulations become part of the industry framework, nutraceutical and functional food producers are increasingly having to consider clinical research, or better published literature, to support their claims.

Our literature review and medical writing teams are often the first step, with a study following where the evidence base turns out to be thin.
